Baoji Snow Mountain Cave Forest Park, a free and mysterious natural landscape, is located next to the 210 Provincial Road in Leixi Town, Chencang District, Baoji City. There is a naturally formed snow mountain cave here. It is said that in 1174 AD, Qiu Chuji, an outstanding representative of the Quanzhen School of Taoism (a disciple of Wang Chongyang), had been practicing in this cave for as long as six years. Today, the temple group outside the cave was spontaneously built by the pilgrims after 1977. The seven-story cave pavilion is built on the mountain, and the shape is like a pagoda, giving a solemn and mysterious feeling. However, it is also called the "Seven-story Demon Tower". For the timid, it may take some courage to step into this mysterious place. In the process of visiting the Snow Mountain Cave, the Giant Elephant Garden is a must-see attraction. Just navigate to "Snow Mountain Cave", park the car on the side of the road, and no parking fee is required. Enter from the left side of the gate of Snow Mountain Cave, cross a small bridge, and turn left when you see the first stele. Walk along this road for about 180 meters, and there will be a fork in the road. At this time, choose the mountain road on the right, walk for about 15 minutes, and you will see a stone elephant covered with red ribbons (later people used cement for repairs). If you are brave, you can climb to the middle of the elephant along the iron chain, but please be sure to pay attention to safety. If you want to explore the mystery of the Snow Mountain Cave, just choose the road on the left at the fork in the road (note that it is not the fork after the small bridge, but the fork after the left turn). Walk along this road all the way back, and you will see the temple outside the cave. Go deeper and you will find the entrance to the Snow Mountain Cave. Due to disrepair for many years, please be careful when visiting. In the deepest part of the cave, you can even see many bats nesting, adding a bit of fantasy to this mysterious place.
