Red Brick Art Museum | A must-visit photo spot in Beijing, indeed a place where every corner is picturesque

🖼️ A private art museum, designed by Professor Dong Yugan from the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Using red bricks as the basic building element, the construction process strives to avoid cutting and to ensure the integrity of each brick as much as possible. This is complemented by the use of blue bricks on parts of the building, creating a garden-style art museum equipped with a contemporary landscape courtyard. For me, the attraction of the Red Brick Art Museum itself far exceeds the exhibitions inside~ The museum has mountains, water, courtyards, red brick constructions, shaded green trees, walls covered with trumpet vines, and black swans in the pond; it's like walking into a painting. Unfortunately, this time the trumpet vines were no longer in bloom. Although it has become a popular spot for taking photos, I still think it's more suitable for occasional rest, to find a quiet corner. The museum and garden together are quite large, covering an area of nearly 20,000 square meters, of which the outdoor garden is 8,000 square meters. It officially opened to the public in May 2014. The museum houses the founder's favorite modern art pieces and temporary exhibitions, which you can always keep an eye on. Opening hours: Closed on Mondays Summer time: May 1 - September 30 10:00-18:00 Winter time: October 1 - April 30 of the following year 10:00 -17:30 Full price ticket: 120 yuan Discounted ticket: 100 yuan (for primary, middle, high school students, disabled persons, and seniors over 65 years old with valid ID) Subway: Take Line 15 to Maquanying Station, walk north to Shunbai Road and go west for 100 meters Parking: There are free parking spaces inside the museum ☕️: There is a cafe and a Western restaurant inside where you can have coffee and some simple meals. I ordered spaghetti and vanilla potato wedges, the potato wedges were very delicious~ The spaghetti was just average. Message: I hope that in the midst of your busy life, you can occasionally slow down, see the people you want to see, do the things you want to do, and visit the places you've always wanted to go~
