Nostalgic Taste of Beijing - A Culinary Legacy from the Palace.

Although I've been to Beijing many times, this was my first time trying desserts here. I heard there might be a queue, but since it was a weekday, I was able to buy it immediately. There are shops at both ends of Nanluoguxiang, but the signage isn't very conspicuous; I passed by the entrance several times. What I had was the red bean milk curd (for some reason, the original flavor is the same price), but the taste was mild and very delicious. The sourness is weak, the sweetness is just right, and it's a bit like a sour milk pudding, making me want to have it again. In fact, this milk curd is a type of dessert from the Qing Dynasty imperial court, and it is definitely a famous snack in old Beijing.
