The total construction area is 147,000 square meters, under the jurisdiction of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, and it is a social science-themed museum dedicated to the history of the Party. Since July 15, 2021, it has been open to the public. Following the historical context of the Chinese people standing up, becoming prosperous, and growing strong, it is divided into four parts, displaying the glorious history of the Chinese Communist Party over the past hundred years through more than 2,600 pictures and over 3,500 sets of cultural relics and artifacts. The Museum of the History of the Chinese Communist Party is designed in the shape of the Chinese character '工', symbolizing that the Communist Party of China is the vanguard of the Chinese working class, as well as the vanguard of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation. The exterior adopts a traditional colonnade structure, fully inheriting the essence of Chinese architecture that is square and dignified, simple and majestic. There are 28 round columns on the east and west sides of the museum, symbolizing the 28 years of bloody struggle by the Chinese Communist Party to establish the People's Republic of China. On the square, the large party flag sculpture 'The Flag' profoundly reflects that the flag is the direction, the flag is the strength. The four groups of large round sculptures 'Faith', 'Great Undertaking', 'Breakthrough', and 'Dream Pursuit' correspond to the 'Four Greats' theme, narrating the struggle of the Chinese Communist Party over the past 100 years to seek happiness for the people and rejuvenation for the nation.
