Lost in the tunnels and portals of time and space, Zhongshuge never disappoints

Zhongshuge Bookstore's design always amazes with its ingenuity, filled with whimsical ideas! Located in the B1 of Beijing Xidan's Galeries Lafayette, this Zhongshuge is one of the three magical Zhongshuges in Beijing. The greatest design feature is the interlocking rings, inspired by the Chinese garden's moon gate and centered around a series of five connected rings. The bookstore's doors are circular, as are the windows, with a progressive set of five connected rings forming the doors and windows, interlocking and varying in size, reminiscent of portals of time and space, and tunnel passages, creating a sense of fantasy. There are many passageways in the store, and the same doors and windows, under the reflection of mirrors, enhance the sense of perspective, like a labyrinth. Combined with another design feature, the mirrored ceiling, reflecting the book walls and lighting, it creates a unique sense of virtual and real space, as if entering multiple dimensions, or stepping into a kaleidoscope. If the Zhongshuge at Rongke Store is a magic bookstore, then the Galeries Lafayette store is the portal to a magical world of time and space.
