Zhongshan Park in Beijing is not only home to ginkgo trees, but also the stunning Tyndall effect.

In autumn, a city walk to see the ginkgo trees in Beijing is a must, and Zhongshan Park is the perfect place to do so. The red walls and golden ginkgo trees are the epitome of Chinese romance, especially when the sun shines on them. I was lucky enough to capture the Tyndall effect in the morning light. 📍Zhongshan Park, Beijing ✅ There are three entrances: East Gate (towards the Palace Museum), South Gate (towards Tiananmen Square), and West Gate (towards the National Centre for the Performing Arts). I entered through the East Gate and exited through the West Gate. 🕐 Opening hours: 6:00–20:00 💰 Admission: CNY 3 (book online or buy on-site) 📷 Photography spots: 1️⃣ Sheji Altar (the popular ginkgo avenue and archway) 2️⃣ Waterside Pavilion (red walls, ginkgo trees, and a white marble railing corridor) 3️⃣ Corridor (ancient corridor and ginkgo trees) 4️⃣ Lawn along the path from the East Gate (to capture the Tyndall effect) 🔶 Tips: Be sure to visit early in the morning on a sunny day. As you walk from the East Gate, you can see many beautiful Tyndall effects. Sometimes, you can even see a rainbow Tyndall effect when the light refracts through the water on the lawn.
