This year's Dragon Boat Festival transforms Beixiaohe Park into a sea of joy. From June 7 to 10, the first Beijing Chaoyang Garden Festival and Beixiaohe Park Dragon Boat Festival Fair will take place under the theme "Cherry Blossoms by the River, Splendid Chaoyang." The event is packed with exciting activities: the opening dance "Stepping on Cherry Blossoms" features performers in traditional Hanfu dancing gracefully under a shower of cherry blossoms, while the poetry recital "I Hear the Sound of Cherry Blossoms Blooming" captures the charm of nature. In the street performance area, professional musicians will showcase the harmony of nature; the photo-op area offers five scenic spots where sharing your photos online earns you tickets for traditional games; the fan-painting area allows you to create your own hand-painted fan; the riverside sketching area invites you to capture the beauty of Beixiaohe; the calligraphy and paper-cutting experience area lets you immerse yourself in traditional culture; the cultural market offers coffee, tea, and intangible cultural heritage lacquer fans; the DIY area provides opportunities to make zongzi and Dragon Boat Festival decorations; and the folk games area features interactive activities like "Shooting the Five Poisons" and "Pitch-Pot." Additionally, the park's "Cherry Blossom Valley" is under planning and will become a romantic cherry blossom viewing destination in the future, making it something to look forward to.
