Autumn in Gubei Water Town

Getting There - We left a drizzly looking day in Beijing and arrived in Gubei just after lunch. There was a lot of traffic on the way and we were worried there would be lots of people here but we were pleasantly surprised! Walking around was easy and there was limited queuing for delicious food. Attractions - So many things to see from the beautiful brick work to the green leaves turning red and even a traditional kite shop. We loved watching the musical fountain and different shows along the way. Hotels - We stayed at Yuanzhu Xiaoshe Villa. We had a two bedroom apartment with a great little kitchen. We only stayed one night but the apartment was cosy. It was outside of the scenic area but super close. Food & Restaurants - Too many to mention!! We ate amazing duck and a ridiculous amount of street snacks! Check out the sweet potato corner store lady. They smoke them in enormous pots! Shopping - Just about everywhere you look there are things to be bought. From your usual magnets and postcards to clothing and headgear. Cost of 🎟 140 ¥#tripblazers #beijing #gubei
