A hidden gem in Beijing. Feel the Great Wall all at once at Gubei Water Town, which feels like Lijiang.

🚘How to get there: Gubei Shui Town, Simatai Village, Miyun County, Beijing -You can use TDI. I started from near Universal, and it takes about 2 hours if you use TDI. -You can also use TDI when returning to the city, but it is a remote place, so it is hard to call right away. So, it would be better to reserve a time to use TDI in advance if possible. -After getting off at the parking lot, you can take a free shuttle bus to the Gubei Shui Town entrance. 🎫Key points: There are so many hot spots, such as the Great Wall of China, Wangjinglou Water Dance Show, Wake Lion Welcome Hall, Shanjing Cathedral, Yongshun Dyeing Workshop, and footbath hot springs. There is a map at the entrance, so I recommend you to visit them all in this order. 🏯Travel information: There are quite a few people who don't know about Gubei Water Town. I also heard about it. This is a place where you can see the ancient city of Lijiang in Yunnan and the Great Wall of China in northeastern Beijing at the same time, so it was really great. It was the place I was most satisfied with during my trip to Beijing. It is quite far from downtown Beijing, so it is not easy to access, but it is a very satisfying place where you can enjoy it properly because there are not many people. Other attractions tend to be crowded, but this place was so relaxing that you could take pictures of the Great Wall. I originally liked Lijiang Water Town, and this place really feels like this. There are lakes and rivers here and there, so it is large enough to take a boat ride to see it. It was really pretty and satisfying, not just for me, but for my family. Gubei Water Town is open not only during the day, but also at night, and when it is lit up at night, it offers a different kind of charm along with the Great Wall. I highly recommend it as a family trip to Beijing. 🏨Hotel: I booked a hotel in downtown Beijing, but there are many pretty traditional guesthouse hotels in Gubei Water Town. If you plan to go to Gubei Water Town at night, I highly recommend the hotels and guesthouses in the water town. 🥨Recommended food & restaurants: There are quite a few traditional Chinese restaurants in Gubei Water Town, but I personally recommend the street snacks. They suit Korean tastes well. In particular, you should definitely try the 箩卜丝饼 radish pancake (limit 2 per person) and the bulgogi hamburger. There are quite a few other popular dishes, so try waiting in line at least once. 👍Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really recommend it. If you go to Beijing, China, you must visit. The Forbidden City and Summer Palace are good, but it's really great to see the Gubei Water Town, which feels like Lijiang, and the Great Wall of China at the same time. There's a travel map at the entrance, so refer to it, and there's a recommended route, so it's really convenient to visit as it is. - After entering Gubei Shuizhen, go towards Heimadae and take a quick look, and after climbing the Heimadae of the Great Wall, come down and take a closer look again, so you won't miss anything. - There's also a footbath hot spring in the middle, so enjoy it for free.
