Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel

Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel is the first car tunnel under the mountain in Thailand. It is located in Betong District, Yala Province. It was built to facilitate travelers. It is made of reinforced concrete, 9 meters wide, 7 meters high, and has a total length of approximately 273 meters. It was officially opened on January 1, 2001. On top of the tunnel, there is a viewpoint of Betong. You can go up and visit. In the evening, there will be lights from the light bulbs in the tunnel. The colors are beautiful. We didn't come in the evening. What a pity! We will come back again when we have time.
