The World's Tallest Mailbox

📍📮📬📭 This is the world's tallest authentic mailbox. 👉🏻 It is located at the Clock Tower intersection. ⏰ Since 1924, it has been made of reinforced concrete with a circumference of about 140 cm and a height of 290 cm from the base, totaling approximately 320 cm in height. In the past, travel and communication between Betong district and other areas were difficult, making mail the most convenient means of communication. Mr. Sanguan Chirachinda, the mayor of Betong district at the time, who was formerly a postmaster, had this mailbox built as a symbol of communication for Betong district. A radio was also installed at the top of the mailbox to broadcast government news to the public. Today, this mailbox is still in use, accepting letters just like any other mailbox.
