Patchwork no Michi i

Patchwork no Michi is interesting yet I do not know how to pinpoint it. It is not just a place, it is more like an area. If you drive, start from Furano National Highway and go round Omura, Yubari, Mita, even Ishiyama area, you can drive slowly 35-40 to enjoy the view. It is like what you will see when you are standing on a higher ground and look down to rolls of hills and fields and frankly that was my feeling. You can see the brown newly plough lands, the new saplings, the first greens, some with flowers but the fields are being segmented and looked like my mum's quilt patch work - it was amazing and you just go WOW. Do spend about 2-4 hours driving round, passing the trees (Ken & Mary, Oak, Parent & Child) - unfortunately nothing impressive about them, but yet they have the added advantage of just being trees along the road over looking into the grass patches. It just complete the picturesque frame, not forgetting bales of hay. I guess this place is always good to drive around anytime of the year as it gives you a different perspective of life. #givethanks #givethanks

Panoramic Flower Gardens Shikisai-no-oka

We visited Shikisai no Oka upon recommendation by the Biei Tourism Office. It was the prettiest out of the flower fields we visited including Tomita & Zerubu. We took the tram ride (¥500 per pax) and the views were magnificent. It was extremely crowded though and yes, a lot of tourists. They have a gift shop and some food stalls. Entrance is free. I don't mind paying for the rides as the workers there really worked hard to plant those beautiful flowers. Definitely recommended if you're deciding which flower farm to head to. #givethanks #givethanks
