When strolling along Erkindik Boulevard, in Bishkek we stumbled across a great games area. A giant chessboard stands waiting for players, its oversized pieces slightly damp from the morning mist. Nearby, stone tables with built-in boards for checkers and dominoes invite locals to gather as the city slowly wakes up.
