A lovely castle just 15 minutes from Cologne!

Augustusburg Castle is located in front of the station called Pruell, about 15 minutes by train from Cologne. It is not very well known in Japan, but as you can see in the photo, it is a very beautiful and cute castle that is in a very good state of preservation. You can tour the castle with a German or English guide. (It costs about 10 euros.) There were many people taking wedding photos outside. I visited on a Sunday afternoon at the end of August 2022, and it didn't seem to be very crowded, so it might be a hidden gem. It is a small castle, but it is one of the castles registered as a World Heritage Site.
