Kanas Travel Guide!

I finally understand why Kanas is called "God's Back Garden." After visiting alone, I discovered that Kanas Lake is more like a blue-green gemstone, shrouded in mist, truly living up to its name! I've summarized my notes below; feel free to save them if needed. 🎫Tickets: CNY 160/person + Round-trip Shuttle Bus: CNY 70/person (1 entry, 1 exit) 〰 CNY 160 + Shuttle Bus CNY 110 (2 entries, 2 exits) Guanyutai (CNY 20/person) Closed on rainy days. There are 4-5 viewing platforms and 1,068 steps. The higher you climb, the better the view! From the top, you can overlook Kanas Lake and Hemu Village, "the most beautiful ancient village in China." Kanas Lake Cruise (CNY 200/person) You can choose to raft or take a cruise. The Kanas Lake tour lasts about 1 hour, with a 20-minute stop in the middle of the lake. Three Bays and One Lake Shenxian Bay > Yueliang Bay > Wolong Bay > Yaze Lake Baihaba Village (CNY 75/person) You need a border pass, which can be obtained at the visitor center. The Sino-Kazakh border canyon here marks the boundary between China and Kazakhstan. 🌟Attractions Kanas Lake: The lake water is as green as jade, surrounded by mountains, offering picturesque views. Shenxian Bay: The river here divides the forest and grassland into small islands, shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland. Yueliang Bay: A crescent-shaped river bend with emerald water and lush forests on both sides. Wolong Bay: A sandbar in the center of the bay resembles a crouching dragon, creating a unique landscape. Guanyutai: Located on the top of Camel Peak on the west bank of Kanas Lake, it offers a panoramic view of the lake. 🏡Accommodation Recommendations Kanas has an old village and a new village. I recommend staying in the old village, which is less than a 10-minute walk from the transfer service center. The new village is more affordable. 🚶‍Hiking Recommendations: If you have plenty of time or want to avoid crowds, consider hiking through the Three Bays, from Shenxian Bay to Yueliang Bay, and then to Wolong Bay, to fully experience the beauty of each bay. 💬Tips 1. If you only have half a day, skip Guanyutai and the lake cruise, and focus on the Three Bays. 2. Shuttle buses stop running after 8pm, so keep track of the time! 3. If you choose to stay in Jiadengyu, you'll need a two-entry ticket.
