Cambridge & Ely Day Trip: From Clock Tower to Cathedral

#Travel itinerary This trip was a full day trip starting from Cambridge and visiting Illy. It was a course where you can enjoy the quaint atmosphere of a university town and the quiet riverside scenery at the same time. 1. Corpus Clock Tower - A landmark that captures the flow of time I took a certification shot in front of the Corpus Clock, one of Cambridge's representative landmarks. The unique design of the supernatural insect-shaped sculpture that moves the clock was impressive, and it was interesting that it was a work that philosophically expressed the concept of the flow of time. 2. Punting - Leisure on the River Cam Punting was one of the must-do experiences when visiting Cambridge. You could spend a leisurely time on a boat while appreciating the university buildings and natural scenery. You can row yourself, but it was more comfortable to use the punting operated by a guide. 3. Walking tour of Cambridge city center It was time to walk around the city and see the quaint buildings and university campuses. Walking around King's College and Trinity College, I was able to experience Cambridge's unique academic atmosphere. 4. Jack's Gelato - Cambridge's must-try dessert I tried ice cream at this place recommended by many travelers. The soft texture and fresh ingredients stood out, and it was fun to choose from a variety of flavors. 5. Fitzwilliam Museum - Where art and history meet This museum is free to enter, and it has various exhibits such as European paintings, ancient artifacts, and pottery. It is large in scale and has great exhibitions, so it is recommended for those who love art and history. 6. From Cambridge to Illy I took the train to Illy. It is relatively close to Cambridge, so I was able to arrive in a short time. 7. Peacock Tea Room - Tea time full of emotions I enjoyed British tea and scones in a tea room with a cute atmosphere. The garden and indoor atmosphere were warm and cozy, making it a great place to relax. 8. Ili Riverside Walk I spent some leisurely time walking along the quiet riverside. The quiet atmosphere without crowds made me feel peaceful. 9. Ili Cathedral – Magnificent Architectural Beauty I visited the cathedral, which is Ili’s representative landmark. The massive scale and beautiful stained glass were impressive, and the antique atmosphere inside was very impressive.
