Arriving in Canterbury, it’s all cobbled streets, timber-framed houses, and the spires of the Canterbury Cathedral peeking through the skyline. My usual route starts with a stroll through Westgate Gardens — especially beautiful in spring — before following the river towards the city centre. I always stop at a local bakery or café (try a warm scone at The Moat Tea Rooms!) before heading into the Cathedral, where soaring ceilings and stained glass windows never fail to impress. The cloisters are a peaceful favourite too. There’s time to browse the independent bookshops, admire the old city gates, and maybe take a short punting tour if the sun’s out. The best part?
