Terracotta church at Wat Nakhon Nuea Khet

#Trip near Bangkok Wat Nakhon Nuea Khet is an ancient temple over 100 years old, located in Tambon Nakhon Khlong Nuea Khet, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province. It was built in 1887. It was originally called Wat Ton Tan because there were many palm trees in the original area. Later, when a new canal was dug, “Khlong Nakhon Nuea Khet”, which separated from Khlong Saen Saep, the temple was renamed “Wat Nakhon Nuea Khet” after the canal. The temple is located next to a canal with a shady atmosphere. Inside Wat Nakhon Nuea Khet, there are interesting religious sites, such as the first chapel, the surrounding pagodas, and the pier pavilion, which the Fine Arts Department has registered as a national historical site. Later, in 1996, Wat Nakhon Nuea Khet built a new chapel, which is notable for being made entirely of glazed clay tiles, and is dark brown in color. It is considered a unique chapel and it is rare to find this type of chapel in Thailand.
