Changchun Batailing Scenic Area: : Batailing, located in Jiutai District of Changchun City, offers free parking and an admission fee of 20 yuan per person. With the highest altitude of over 680 meters, it is 70 kilometers from Changchun city center, 50 kilometers from Jilin city center, and 22 kilometers from Changchun city center, making it the highest peak in Changchun. More than six or seven years ago, the scenic area's ancient post village was rich in Northeastern charm, with numerous attractions including the Fox Fairy Cave, oil mill, grinding mill, crushing mill, self-service hostel, inn, opera tower, rare bird pavilion, animal park, tea room, distillery, beacon tower, etc., forming a comprehensive scenic area that integrates tourism, ecological vacation, and educational base. : Now, only the Fox Fairy Cave and the Meeting Immortals Platform (beacon tower) on the mountain top are left to enjoy the scenery. Changchun Siling Mountain National Forest Park: : Siling Mountain National Forest Park, also located in Jiutai District of Changchun City, offers free parking and free admission to the park. The highest altitude is over 570 meters, with abundant medicinal herbs, wild vegetables, and fruits on the mountain, especially in May and June each year, when the azaleas bloom all over the mountain, making it the most beautiful time here. : However, we arrived late, only after the start of autumn. Additionally, cars can drive directly to the lakeside. There is a small flat lake at the foot of the mountain, suitable for setting up tents for camping. The entire route, both up and down the mountain, is difficult to walk, consisting of gravel paths that are very slippery... 📌Little Tips: Both of these scenic areas are purely for mountain climbing. Other than reaching the summit to enjoy the view, there are no other recreational activities. Here, I suggest that when visiting these two scenic areas for mountain climbing, it is better to wear anti-slip hiking shoes, and (personally) I feel that bringing a walking stick is quite necessary! Also, remember to protect yourself from the sun. In spring, summer, and autumn, there are many mosquitoes, so be prepared with anti-mosquito bite medication.
