Chicken Poop Prison, Laem Sing, Chanthaburi

📍Address: Chicken Poop Prison, Pak Nam Laem Sing Subdistrict, Laem Sing District, Chanthaburi Chicken Poop Prison is a historical tourist attraction located in Laem Sing District, Chanthaburi. It was built in 1893 during the period when Chanthaburi was under French colonial rule. The French military constructed this prison to detain Thai prisoners who opposed them. Chickens were kept above the prison, and their droppings would fall onto the prisoners below. The building is made of traditional Mon bricks and has very small openings. The site has been beautifully restored as a memorial for future generations to learn about history. Decorative plants have been added to enhance the area, making it a picturesque spot for visitors to explore and take memorable photos. Admission is free, and visitors can park along the roadside and walk in to enjoy the site.
