I found a hidden gem of a standalone guesthouse in Chaozhou Ancient City.

Guesthouse: joyjoy house I booked a private customized tour for the Chinese New Year, but I wasn't satisfied with the hotel arrangements. So, I decided to book my own accommodations. I stumbled upon this gem online. The price was reasonable, and most importantly, it was a standalone building, offering excellent privacy. I called the owner directly and booked it. It turned out to be the perfect decision; both adults and children had a wonderful stay. The guesthouse is located in the heart of Chaozhou Ancient City, in a quiet spot amidst the bustling city. Most attractions are within walking distance. The four-story building has six rooms, each with a unique design, like opening a surprise blind box. There were seven adults and two children in our group, so we had plenty of space. The guesthouse was also decorated for the New Year, creating a festive atmosphere. It was clean and comfortable. The guesthouse offers self check-in. The owner contacted me in advance with directions and the access code. They also provided many helpful travel tips, which allowed us to see the Chaoshan Yingge dance. We even hired a local photographer for a family photoshoot at the guesthouse.
