First time at Phu Soi Dao, how should I prepare? EP2

This is our first time going to Phu Soi Dao and our first time hiking. Let's share our experiences and preparations for beginners. The total distance to go up Phu Soi Dao is 8-9 kilometers (but the sign says 6 kilometers). Preparing your body before going is also important. If you exercise (walking and running) for 1-2 weeks beforehand, it will help reduce leg pain. ⛺️Equipment to prepare (in our own version) -Thick hiking shoes -Hiking poles (but if you don't know how to use them, they can be a burden) -Outerwear to protect from the sun and wind -Raincoats -Sweaters -Hat -Long socks (to protect from insects) -Backpack with back support (for those who carry heavy backpacks and don't have porters) -Bag cover -Flashlight -Insect bite medicine/ointment -Food to eat on the lawn -Essential food during the walk Water/mineral salts to sip during the walk/Lunch must be eaten during breaks, otherwise you won't have the energy to walk. /Candy or sweets - When walking, wear thin, breathable clothes that are easy to walk in. 🗻What is there at the camping area on Phu Soi Dao? -You can rent a tent, sleeping bag, pillow, etc. on the pine field. There is only fried egg rice for sale. Bring money or fresh coins to press for drinking water. -There are bathrooms to shower, but there is no water in the bathroom. There is a public area to press for water, but you have to rent a water bucket and a dipper. -There is a charcoal stove for rent, but you have to bring your own charcoal. *There is no electricity. Prepare your own flashlight. 💼Using a porter service It is charged per kilo, 30 baht per kilo. You can have a porter take all your belongings up (we paid 3,000 baht for the way up and down). 🚗How to get to Phu Soi Dao -Take a bus from Mochit 2, Bangkok-Phitsanulok. The bus leaves at 10:30 PM and arrives at Phitsanulok Bus Terminal at around 2 AM. -Take a bus from Phitsanulok Bus Terminal to Phu Soi Dao National Park.
