Khao Sun is a mountain in Village No. 9, Tambon Mai Riang, Amphoe Chawang, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, 15 kilometers southwest of Phu Khao Luang. To the north is in Tambon Kraphiat, to the south and east is in Tambon Mai Riang, and to the west is in Tambon Khlong Se. Khao Sun is a forest area with rubber trees planted all the way to the top of the mountain. Some areas are fruit trees. The terrain is a high mountain range alternating with valleys. The eastern and southern canals flow into Khlong Se, which connects to the Tapi River. Khao Sun has three other mountains: Noen Luk Krok, Khuan Fai Mai, and Khao Khwang. Khao Sun is 510 meters above sea level. On the top of the mountain is a telecommunications relay station. A 7-kilometer asphalt road was built up the mountain in 1965.
