Sichuan | Shuijing Street Winery Ruins Museum, visit the ancient wine-making relics and architectural aesthetics.

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 There is a Shuijing Street in Jinjiang District of Chengdu, Sichuan, which is an important center for brewing white wine. When the Chengdu Quanxing Winery was renovating the factory building, the remains of an ancient wine-making workshop were discovered underground. Three drying halls, eight wine cellars, four stoves, and four ash pits from the Ming and Qing dynasties were excavated. Wine utensils were the most abundant among the unearthed ceramics. Later, in order to preserve the precious cultural relics, the architect Liu Jiakun was commissioned to design and restore and rebuild the current "Shuijing Street Distillery Ruins Museum" on the original site. The architectural design incorporates the local characteristics of the Shuijing Street neighborhood. The courtyard is paved with old bricks, creating a quiet place in the bustling city. The patios, courtyards and exhibition halls alternately arranged along the visiting route create a relaxed visiting rhythm.
