Cheongyang Alps Village Ice Fountain Festival – A Midwinter Fairy Tale Made of Ice

The harsh winter winds seemed to magically stop in front of the ice fountain. The Alps Village in Cheongyang, Chungcheongnam-do was deeper and quieter than I had thought, and it was like a small winter kingdom decorated with snow and ice. Basic Information • Location: 223-35 Cheonjangho-gil, Jeongsan-myeon, Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do • Festival Period: Every year from December to February (varies depending on the weather) • Admission: Paid (usually around 5,000 won) • Main Programs: Ice fountain, snow sledding, ice sledding, igloo experience, sweet potato food Impressions – Warm memories blooming in the frozen season As soon as I entered the entrance, the huge ice fountain caught my eye, and next to the fountain, children were happily sledding. The ice tunnels and sculptures were also really well decorated, so there were plenty of good photo spots. The best part was that the simplicity and warmth unique to rural villages were everywhere. The warm snacks sold at the festival, such as sweet potatoes, fish cakes, and bungeoppang, slowly melted my cold and frozen hands and hearts. #HawaiiFlightEvent
