🙏🙏 This temple was once the place of the 8th world Tripitaka recitation. The Sri Maha Bodhi Buddha Gaya pagoda is considered the pagoda for the year of birth of the Snake according to the beliefs of the Lanna people. It is located in Chang Phueak Subdistrict on the Super Highway (Chiang Mai-Lampang), approximately 4 kilometers from Chiang Mai city. It is a temple that King Tilokarat, the King of the Mangrai Dynasty of Lanna, ordered to be built in 1998 and invited Phra Uttamapanya Mahathera to be the first abbot. Along with planting the Sri Maha Bodhi tree, he gave the name of this temple "Photharam Mahawihan". But because the temple has 7 pagodas as spires, people generally call it "Wat Chet Yot". The temple is built of laterite decorated with stucco patterns, similar to the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India.
