Pong Ngaen Ui Tip Homestay Let me tell you this first, Pong Ngaen has no phone signal. If you want to use your phone, you have to walk up a bit higher. Before we left, it was a storm. The ground slid all the way. But it was good that the water level went down to normal. We had to drive for another 18 kilometers to raft to the accommodation. It took about 2 hours along the Mae Taeng River. Enjoy the beauty of nature on both sides of the road in the big forest. And some parts are small rapids. When evening falls, there will be no electricity. At night, we use solar cells or light lanterns to make a fire to cook and make sticky rice in bamboo. (What? Going from Chonburi, we're still making sticky rice in bamboo? 😂) Another thing I can't not tell you is don't forget to ask for a taste of the secret recipe liquor. One cup is enough. I definitely won't ask for more. 🤣🤣 In the morning, I woke up and had breakfast with rice porridge. I drank hot Ovaltine coffee to suit the cold weather. Sometimes it's not cold. It's cold. 🤣 Then I changed clothes and went rafting again before going home. This rafting trip was more exciting than yesterday when I rafted to the accommodation because the water was quite fast along the way. It was a fun, scary and exciting trip. Pong Ngaen Village welcomes tourists all year round, but the most popular time to visit is from October to February every year because there is a lot of water and the weather is cool, which is suitable for bamboo rafting.
