There are 3 inspirations for building this temple: for the nation, religion, and the monarchy. The distinctive feature of the temple is the white chapel decorated with shiny silver glass patterns in layers. The pediment is decorated with a Naga with tusks that look strange and interesting. The murals inside the chapel are the work of the master himself. 2️⃣Baan Dam Baan Dam or the Baan Dam Museum is located in Tambon Nang Lae, Amphoe Mueang, Chiang Rai Province. It was built by Ajarn Thawan Duchanee, a national artist who was skilled in painting and sculpture. He created many works of art, both paintings and sculptures. Even though Ajarn Thawan has passed away, Baan Dam is still open for tourists to come and experience its unique beauty. Baan Dam is a group of houses in Lanna art style. Each house is painted black, which is the origin of the name "Baan Dam", which is Ajarn Thawan's favorite color. Each house is decorated with beautifully carved wood. In addition to the carved wood, it is also decorated with animal horns such as buffalo horns, deer horns, and animal bones such as elephant bones. 3️⃣Baan Karen Ruammit It is a Karen village that has been developed for quality using tourism from private organizations and has been successful in using elephants as a vehicle to tour the hill tribe village. Currently, it is considered the center of hill tribes in Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province. Baan Karen Ruammit is located on the left bank of the Kok River, Village 2, Mae Yao Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai. In addition to the Karen people, there are also Akha and Lahu hill tribe villages nearby. The Karen village is an elephant-riding village to visit the hill tribe village. Baan Karen Ruammit has 1 subsidiary village, Ban Doi Bo 2 (Akha tribe). Baan Ruammit has a total population of 2,840 people and 1,549 households, consisting of the Karen, Akha, Lahu, Lisu, Hmong, and Tai Lue tribes.
