Wat Rong Khun is a famous Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai Province, designed and built by Ajarn Chalermchai Khositphiphat, a famous Thai painter, since 1997 until now. It is located in Pa O Don Chai Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. The highlight of Wat Rong Khun is the ordination hall decorated with white as the main floor, decorated with beautiful and unusual shiny glass. The stucco is decorated with Thai patterns, especially the image of the Lord Buddha behind the large principal Buddha image and the area above the ordination hall decorated with mythical animals, half elephant, half bird raising their trunks and tusks, looking beautiful and unusual.
