I visited Seiunji Temple in Chichibu. The weeping cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and the entire temple grounds were covered in pale pink. The 600-year-old cherry trees are so magnificent that you have to look up, and they sway in the wind with such grace. Time seemed to flow slowly in the quiet mountain village air. It was a little difficult to get to, but it was a hidden gem where you could enjoy cherry blossom viewing in peace. There are many famous cherry blossom spots, but this one became a special memory.
