THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The Great Wall of China is a series of ancient walls and forts located in northern China. This wall has a length of 21,196.18 kilometers. The Great Wall of China is the most recognizable symbol of China and has a long history. The wall was originally built by Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the third century BC. as a means to prevent attacks from the Xiongnu and other nomadic tribes. For more than 2,000 years the construction of the wall was continued by Chinese rulers. The most famous and preserved part of the Great Wall was built in the 14th to 17th centuries, during the Ming dynasty. Although the Great Wall never effectively prevented invaders from entering China, it served as a real symbol of the ancient Chinese civilization. The construction of the Great Wall of China can be traced back to the 3rd century BC, but many fortifications including the interior of the wall were built hundreds of years earlier. The forts were built when China was still divided into several warring kingdoms. Around 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor to unify China under the Qin Dynasty, ordered the removal of fortifications between the countries and the unification of the walls along the northern border into a single defense system. The wall was later extended by more than one 10,000 li (a li is about a third of a mile). The aim of this project is to protect China from attacks by nomadic tribes in the north. The construction of the Great Wall of China became one of the most ambitious construction projects ever undertaken by any civilization. The famous Chinese general Meng Tian was in charge of the project. According to some records it is also said that the construction of the Great Wall of China used soldiers, convicts, and commoners as workers. Most of the Great Wall of China is made of earth and stone. The wall stretches from the Chinese Sea port of Shanhaiguan more than 3,000 miles west to Gansu province. In some strategic areas, sections of the walls are overlapped for maximum safe #themeparks#nationalpark#lakes#beaches#infinitypool

the Tianjin Binhai Library, a 33,700m2 cultural centre featuring a luminous spherical auditorium around which floor-to-ceiling bookcases cascade. The undulating bookshelf is the building’s main spatial device, and is used both to frame the space and to create stairs, seating, the layered ceiling and even louvres on the façade. Tianjin Binhai Library was designed and built in a record-breaking time of only three years due to a tight schedule imposed by the local municipality. Next to many media rooms it offers space for 1,2 million books. The library was commissioned by Tianjin Binhai Municipality and is located in the cultural centre of Binhai district in Tianjin, a coastal metropolis outside Beijing, China. The library, located adjacent to a park, is one of a cluster of five cultural buildings designed by an international cadre of architects including Bernard Tschumi Architects, Bing Thom Architects, HH Design and MVRDV. All buildings are connected by a public corridor underneath a glass canopy designed by GMP. also known as "the Palace of Natural Arts," is a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin, Guangxi, China. The cave got its name from the type of reed growing outside, which can be made into flutes. Reed Flute Cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and other rock formations. Inside, there are more than 70 inscriptions written in ink, which can be dated back as far as 792 AD in the Tang Dynasty. These aged inscriptions tell us that it has been an attraction in Guilin since ancient times. It was rediscovered in the 1940s by a group of refugees fleeing the Japanese troops. Nowadays, multicolored lighting artificially illuminates the cave. #nationalpark #themeparks #lakes #triplocal #beaches #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes#beaches
