Unwinding in CQ’s Hot Springs

Visiting a hot spring while in possibly one of the hottest cities in China? Well, why not?! While we were visiting Chongqing, we were staying in the Radisson hotel in the Shapingba District. Right next door was the Ronghui Hot Springs Resort, for which we were give two free tickets for each day we stayed! After a long day of touring around in the heat of the sun, you would think that the last thing you would want to do was sit in a hot pool - but we did it, and it was actually super relaxing! There are a total of 53 indoor and outdoor pools - some featuring water that has been steeped with medicinal Chinese herbs, others with oils, some with jets, and some just plain cool water if you need a bit of a break from the heat! Aside from the pools, there are also a range of services you can get too - massages, exfoliation - and there is a small food stand/cafe to grab a bite to eat too (think noodles, steamed buns, etc).
