Heishan Valley

Heishan Valley Scenic Area is located in Heishan Town, Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Chongqing, 20 km from Wansheng City and 110 km from downtown Chongqing. It is adjacent to Jinfo Mountain in Nanchuan and Baiqing Nature Reserve in Tongzi, Guizhou. The mountain range where Heishan Valley is located is the foothills of Dalou Mountain, which is the transition from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the Sichuan Basin. It is a boundary mountain between Chongqing and Guizhou. The scenic area covers an area of 100 square kilometers, the canyon is 13 kilometers long, and the maximum height difference between the top of the mountain and the bottom of the valley is about 1,200 meters. The highest peak in the scenic area, Lion Peak, is 1,973 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in Chongqing before it became a municipality.
