Wansheng Black Valley South Gate to North Gate Day Trip Guide

Drive from downtown Chongqing to the South Gate of Wansheng Black Valley. The drive takes about 1.5 hours and all types of vehicles are allowed. Drive slowly on Wansheng Avenue as there are many turns. Near the South Gate, you can park your car for free in a vacant spot on the side of the road (parking in the scenic area costs CNY 3 per hour). Tickets and transportation: Tickets cost CNY 80 per person. The Yusuo Cableway costs CNY 30 per person and takes about 10 minutes. You can choose to take it based on your own situation. It was very hot in the cable car when we took it at 3:30 pm. It takes about half an hour to walk from the South Gate to the cableway. You will need to walk most of the time in the scenic area, but it is mostly downhill from the South Gate, so it is relatively easy. The sightseeing bus costs CNY 30 per person and travels 6 km. Many tourists choose to take it. There is a bus from the North Gate to the South Gate, which costs CNY 20 per person, and CNY 5 per person to the visitor center.
