The Three Gorges Migration Memorial Hall in Chongqing covers an area of 15,062 square meters and has a total investment of 240 million yuan. The building has a unique appearance, composed of angular blocks, like rocks standing on the banks of the Yangtze River. The public space of the interior building incorporates the Three Gorges element of steep cliffs and long gorges. The continuous and turning inclined "cliff walls" formed by the building's entities and the large and small holes in the "cliff walls" themselves abstractly show the form of traditional settlements on both sides of the Three Gorges. Above the "cliff walls" is a glass skylight like a "line of sky", which together form the image of the Three Gorges. It was opened for trial operation on October 26, 2016, and officially opened on May 18, 2018.
