Wandering Wolaksan

#summervacay Wolaksan National Park might not be on everyone's radar, but it's seriously underrated. We hit up the trails near Hwaseong, and it was the perfect mix of mellow hiking and “whoa” moments. The forest is super calming, tons of shade, birdsong, and those cool rocky outcrops that pop out of nowhere. The paths are well-marked and not too intense, which made it ideal for a casual day out. There were a few uphill stretches, but nothing crazy, just enough to feel like you earned your lunch. Along the way, you get these awesome panoramic views that kind of sneak up on you. What’s really cool is how peaceful it is. Not too many people, especially on weekdays, so it’s great if you want to unplug and not feel rushed. Just toss on some comfy shoes, pack a snack, and go with the flow. Wolaksan’s a chill, scenic spot that gives you big nature vibes without the big effort.
