#summervacay If you ever find yourself in Cheongju with an hour to kill and zero interest in doing anything intense, Jungang Park is perfect. It’s like the city just casually left a patch of calm in the middle of everything, and we’re not mad about it. There’s this nice mix of history and hangout spots, think old statues, memorials, and random little corners where you can sit and do absolutely nothing (in the best way). A few locals were just chilling, chatting, or walking their dogs. It’s got that peaceful, no-rush energy. The shade from all the trees is a lifesaver on hot days, and there’s enough open space to people-watch or snack on something from a nearby convenience store. Not a destination park, but if you’re nearby? Totally worth a wander. Bonus: It’s super close to other little spots in the city, so you can just drop by without any planning. We weren’t expecting much, but ended up staying way longer than we thought. Low effort, high chill. Would stroll again.
