Songnisan Hits Different

#summervacay Songnisan is straight-up gorgeous. Did the Beopjusa loop and honestly, it’s the perfect mix of nature, culture, and a bit of leg burn. You start off walking through this peaceful forest, and suddenly you’re standing in front of a giant golden Buddha at Beopjusa Temple. It’s massive. Like, “how is this real?” massive. The trail winds up through shady trees and rocky paths, nothing too crazy but enough to feel like an adventure. You get these awesome views as you climb, especially near Munjangdae Peak, it’s a bit of a detour but 100% worth it if you’ve got the energy. Tons of little moments that make it special, bell sounds from the temple drifting through the trees, the fresh mountain air, and the general vibe of calm. Not a ton of people, which makes it feel even more peaceful. Bring snacks, take your time, and enjoy the ride. Songnisan’s a total reset button.
