A Wandering Day at MMCA Cheongju

#summervacay Ended up at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Cheongju (MMCA Cheongju) on a lazy afternoon, and honestly? Kinda loved it. The building itself is super cool, like an old tobacco factory turned artsy hangout. Industrial but not cold, you know? Inside, the vibe is mellow but interesting. The exhibits switch up pretty often, so you never really know what you’re gonna get, but that’s part of the fun. Saw some funky installations, a few “what-am-I-looking-at” moments, and a couple pieces that lowkey blew my mind. It’s not huge, which I actually liked, you can take your time without getting museum fatigue. The little gift shop’s got artsy goodies, and there’s a chill cafe where you can sit, sip, and stare out the window like you're in a music video. If you're in Cheongju and want to feel cultured without trying too hard, this place hits the spot. Easygoing, creative, and just the right amount of weird.
