Cradle Mountain, Tasmania

Cradle Mountain is named after the arc formed by its two peaks that resembles an English cradle. There are glacier relics, tropical rainforests, brown-red lakes, thick meadows, steep stone peaks, and even the road up the mountain still retains the appearance of being just developed a hundred years ago. It is almost impossible to reach the top without the help of iron cables. Along the way, we occasionally encountered wombats, giant kangaroos, and Tasmanian devils with square poop. Hiking in the pristine, wild and silent Cradle Mountain may be an unforgettable memory of a lifetime.
