It was a perfect spring picnic with a delicious lunch added to the flower viewing 😊 When I arrived in Daejeon early in the morning, the first place I headed was Hanbat Arboretum 🌿 Around this time, magnolias are in full bloom, creating a spectacular sight. Seeing the beautiful white magnolias blooming toward the sky calmed my mind and made me realize that spring had come 🤍 The walking path between the trees was well-maintained, so it was nice to walk slowly while appreciating the flowers up close 👟 As I walked while intoxicated by the scent of magnolias, I got hungry before I knew it, so I headed to O's Kalguksu, a famous restaurant in Daejeon 🍲 This place is so popular that there was a waiting line, but it was worth the wait! Kalguksu with large clams had a refreshing and deep broth, and the kimchi that came with it was a real treat 😋 A bowl of kalguksu warmed my body and mind. After lunch, we headed to Gapcheon for a full-fledged cherry blossom walk 🌸 This is a must-see spot for cherry blossoms in Daejeon! Walking under the long cherry blossom tunnel along the waterway was truly fantastic. The sight of the petals fluttering every time the wind blew was like a scene from a movie, and everyone who came with their family, lovers, and friends looked happy 💕 I also felt the leisure of sitting on a bench, drinking a cup of coffee, and viewing the cherry blossoms ☕🌸 As I walked along the cherry blossom road, I naturally came to the vicinity of Daejeon Arts Center, and there, too, I could feel another atmosphere with the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the sculptures harmonizing 🎨📷 After that, I had a simple dessert at a nearby cafe 🍰 and slowly ended the day. Daejeon is truly a hidden spring travel destination, where you can fully experience the season even in the city!
