Spring in Dali. The Cang Mountains are still snow-capped, their peaks illuminated by the southern sky. The ancient city, nestled between mountains and sea, exudes a bright and romantic charm. After circling Dali, I've discovered that for travel accommodations, it's best to choose a place near the ancient town or Erhai Lake. It's more convenient for dining and shopping, otherwise, it feels like just staying in another city. This time, I chose to check in to Hua Jiu Xishe Homestay in the ancient city. With its own small courtyard, it offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city, yet allows you to instantly step back into the vibrant atmosphere of the centuries-old town. As darkness falls, I still yearn for a taste of the enchanting Dali. Just a hundred meters down from the homestay are bars where folk singers croon tales of poetry and distant lands. If driving, you can park in the nearby parking lot for 50 per day. The hotel is only 20 meters from the parking lot, and a butler can pick you up. 🌟Highlights: Truly one-on-one butler service, allowing for in-depth exploration of Dali even without a detailed plan. My trip to Dali was rushed, and I didn't bother making a plan. The butler contacted me immediately after I booked the hotel to create a group chat. Before departure, they sent me a local travel map. After arriving at the hotel, they provided recommendations for lunch and dinner, activities in the ancient city, and bars to avoid. They even helped me book other seaside homestays with great views and value when I wanted to change locations. In the evening, the butler joined us for drinks and conversation in the lobby.
