As a travel blogger who goes to Yunnan many times every year, I always discover some fresh and fun spots. This time, I’m sharing a little-known, privately kept 2-day tour route with you all. Few people, beautiful scenery, and perfect for photos! . Day 1️⃣: Xizhou Ancient Town → Haishe Park → Covered Bridge → S Bay → Caicun → Longkan Wharf → Cang’er Avenue → Fengyangyi Village → Dali Ancient City . ✅ Xizhou Ancient Town: So many great photo spots! Corner towers, rice fields, windy big trees, everything looks beautiful no matter where you shoot~ ✅ Covered Bridge: Bridge arches, lonely tree, crooked-neck tree, few people and beautiful scenery along the cycling route! ✅ Longkan Wharf: Dawn redwoods, a path leading to Erhai Lake, the water looks as blue as a gem 💎 in the afternoon light ✅ Dali Ancient City: Stroll along Renmin Road at night, lots of snacks outside the South Gate, the nightlife atmosphere is amazing! . Day 2️⃣: Xingsheng Bridge → Yunxiang Mountain → Wenbi Village → Xiaoputuo → Luwoshan → Shuanglang ✅ Yunxiang Mountain: Check in at the cliff chapel, overlooking Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, and the city panorama, more off-the-beaten-path than Lixiangbang! ✅ Wenbi Village: Navigate to “Sea Chapel,” the end of the rainbow road is Erhai Lake, every shot looks like a masterpiece! ✅ Xiaoputuo: A delicate and quaint little island, no need to go on the island, shooting the panorama from the shore is already super beautiful~ ✅ Luwoshan: Ruined windows, seaside rock caves, full of atmosphere! . 🛏 Where to stay in Dali After a tiring day, choosing a comfortable homestay is very important. This time in Dali, I stayed all around the area. What impressed me most besides the sea view was the “Akaitiya Courtyard” where I stayed. It’s right in Shuanglang Ancient Town, only a 3-minute walk to the seaside. Rustic Bai ethnic style, with a cozy and pleasant courtyard environment. Every morning when you open your eyes, you can see the sparkling waves of Erhai Lake. The rooftop terrace offers the best sunrise and sunset views in all of Shuanglang. The housekeeper will secretly tell you about hidden local gem restaurants only locals know about~ ~ What surprised me most is that in the off-season, it’s only around 500+ RMB per person! Compared to those internet-famous sea view rooms that cost thousands, this place is honestly a steal. After a day of playing, soaking in the bathtub while watching Erhai Lake—that’s what a vacation should be like! ~ Let me secretly tell you, the countryside view here is absolutely stunning! 📌 Summary: The circle around Erhai Lake is really big. It’s best to drive yourself. If not possible, split your trip into West Erhai and East Erhai tours. .
