Mae Wang National Park, Pha Cho

Pha Cho is located in Doi Lo District, Mae Wang National Park, Chiang Mai Province. The amazing cliff is a natural phenomenon caused by erosion of wind and rain, which caused the land in this area to have strange cliff shapes. This place used to be a path of the Ping River (noticeable from the many round pebbles scattered in the soil) until the Ping River changed direction and flowed to another place. This area was raised into a high hill. The sediment from the Ping River formed and piled up in layers. Over time, it was eroded until it became a cliff and soil pillars with strange shapes, similar to Pae Mueang Phi in Phrae Province.
