Pha Cho, the beauty of Mae Wang National Park, Doi Lo District, Chiang Mai Province. Who would have thought that Chiang Mai would have such a hidden beauty within this park? Coming here, we just saw the sign on the side of the road. The fun that continued from coming down from Doi Inthanon happened here again on a rainy day. After setting the GPS, we started our journey again. We came to Mae Wang National Park because we had heard reviews from other people that this place was very beautiful. On the way into this national park, it was shady as usual, but the first entrance was closed, so we had to drive to another entrance. We paid the entrance fee and drove for another 2 kilometers. There were some small uphill sections. When we arrived at the place, the officer asked to tear the ticket and suggested that we walk for another 400 meters by going down the stairs or park the car in another way, which would be a bit smoother. But since our car was already parked upstairs, we decided to walk down the stairs. While walking, it turned out that the distance was very long. We were quite sweaty. There were signs to Pha Cho all along the way, showing how many meters were left to reach our destination. And there will be officers stationed at about 2 points. Some parts will be steps that you have to climb up, which is quite high and some legs hurt, but it is very fun and very tiring. Taking pictures and laughing at the tiredness and sweat that has to walk inside to experience the wonder of Pha Cho. In just a moment, we will be almost there. When we reach the top, we will see the view of Pha Cho that we have to go down a little bit. Take some pictures and then walk down again. It can be said that it is worth walking up and down the stairs that the park has made. When we get there, we will be amazed by the wonder of nature. We are not tired anymore. From walking and stopping to rest, when the magnificence is anywhere, we feel that the mission is accomplished. Walking in is not in vain. Pha Cho is a natural sculpture formed from the accumulation of sediments in the river basin. It is sediments from the Tertiary period, approximately 5 million years old. It is assumed that this area was the Ping River before. Later, the geology changed. The sedimentary layer was pushed up. Later, natural factors such as wind and rain eroded and washed away the surface of the sedimentary layer, resulting in beautiful patterns consisting of layers of rock, soil, and sand, and according to natural phenomena. The villagers called it Pha Cho and changed its name to Pha Cho. It is currently popular among tourists. If you want to experience this beautiful natural phenomenon, I recommend you to come to Mae Wang National Park. You will be happier when you see beautiful nature. Just don't destroy it. How to get there: If you come from Doi Inthanon, take Highway 108. When you enter Doi Lor District, you will see a sign for Pha Cho. You must keep an eye out for the sign.
