As long as you want to, "travel" begins the moment you step out of your door! 📍Location: Dongshan Island, Zhangzhou 🚗Transportation: ➡️Zhangzhou Station 🚄 to Yunxiao Station: 32 minutes ➡️From Yunxiao Station, take a taxi 🚗 to Dongshan Island: approx. 40 minutes 💴Tickets: Free 🆓 📷Best time to take photos: Mar 13, 2025 🌈✍️Travel Notes📝 1️⃣I experienced the inaccuracy of Zhangzhou's weather forecast. The previous night, it was still showing rain, so before going to bed, I silently wondered where the weather would take us tomorrow. Fortunately, when I opened my eyes, the weather was good, so I immediately booked round-trip train tickets to Yunxiao Station. ❗️Yunxiao Station 🚄 is the closest train station to Dongshan Island. 2️⃣After arriving at Yunxiao Station, pay attention to the arrow signs, find the online car-hailing location, and then book a taxi. It takes about 40 minutes via the expressway. 3️⃣Our goal was also a "leisure tour", so we located Chaosheng Building and then started wandering around from there. 4️⃣We climbed up from the side of a ticket booth near the sea, and soon arrived at the Left Ear Sky Terrace. While wandering around on the top of the mountain, we encountered Ben Guesthouse on the other side. At that time, we were attracted by the scenery leading to the sea. Then we saw a "coffee" sign, and then we saw someone sitting in the courtyard with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea, eating. Tempted by the beautiful scenery, we went to bother the owner while he was eating, and then sat in the beautiful scenery and drank a cup of coffee. We followed the owner to visit his guesthouse. Each room has a sea view. For a moment, I wanted to change my itinerary and stay there for one night, but reason prevailed and I only stayed there for about 1 hour before leaving! 5️⃣After coming out of Ben Guesthouse, we checked in at the Left Ear Sky Terrace, and then walked all the way down, checked in at the wall full of wooden rafts, walked along Nanmen Bay coastline to the main intersection, and booked a car back to Yunxiao Station. 6️⃣It's so comfortable to stroll around without rushing! Enjoy the sunshine, the sea, and the small seaside village, walking, stopping, and looking around! ...It's really too leisurely...
