🌟Highlights: Construction of the Ming and Qing Palace Gardens began in 1998 and was completed in 2006. Built as a 1:1 replica of the Forbidden City in Beijing, it represents the pinnacle of Hengdian World Studios' city-building efforts. A total of 13 small mountain peaks were demolished to make way for the gardens, which cover an area of 1,500 mu and represent an investment of 800 million yuan. It is the largest film and television base in Hengdian World Studios. The resemblance to the Forbidden City in Beijing is striking, with all individual buildings replicated at a 1:1 scale. Only the "Tiananmen Gate" (Gate of Heavenly Peace) was reduced in size by 20% and renamed "Chengtianmen Gate," the name used during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
