#MarchGoodPlaces2025 The Dubai Museum is located in the Al Fahidi Fort in the United Arab Emirates. The castle was built in 1797 and the museum opened in 1971. It is the oldest surviving building in Dubai. This museum used to be a palace and the chief's residence, and later it was transformed into an arsenal and prison. There are ships of different shapes at the entrance and in the atrium, symbolizing the fishing period at that time. Traditional weapons of that time are also displayed outdoors. The room displays some artifacts unearthed in the region, such as pottery, bronze artifacts and other art pieces. In addition, media videos are played to introduce the evolution of Dubai's history in different eras.
