Is Wangpoyan too crowded? This small water play area nearby...

The good news is that the rainy days that lasted for nearly half a month have finally ended☔️, but the bad news is that the temperature is going to rise again🌞. Those of you who don’t want to go to the crowded popular spots in Dujiangyan on the weekend but still want to go out and play in the water 💦, have a look here! I have always wanted to go to Wangpoyan, but was scared away by the huge crowds. I found a great place for water play nearby with few people, delicious food and decent scenery. 📍: Sanxi Community Village Committee, Yutang Town, Dujiangyan City 🚗: It takes about an hour to drive from Chengdu South Gate. The road up the mountain is narrow and has many sharp turns and steep slopes. It is not recommended for novices to drive there by themselves. ⛰️: There is a temple of the God of Wealth nearby, 3 kilometers away from Zhaogong Mountain and 6 kilometers away from Panda Valley. 🌦️: The mountains are much cooler than the city. Even if the weather is bad and it is drizzling, the mountains covered with a layer of smoke have a unique charm. 🀄️: Bring a pair of slippers, otherwise the stones will hurt your feet; you can bring your own water gun, which is very expensive to buy nearby; of course you can also bring a mahjong table; or play bamboo rafts in a farmhouse. 🍽️: There are many farmhouses nearby where you can eat. I love to eat cold chicken, so I ordered a local chicken (1 chicken 4 dishes). The taste is really good, but it’s a bit expensive. ⛺️: There are tent camps nearby, as well as homestays and farmhouses where you can stay. I stayed in a homestay and accidentally found a small river ditch that was okay.
