Traveling around the UK alone - Dundee's green factories

🏭The "Green Factory" in Dundee really gave me a little surprise. 🏭The Green Factory, also known as the Scottish Jute Museum, was formerly a jute manufacturing factory. In 1991, the factory was bought by the Dundee Heritage Trust and after restoration, it was opened in 1996 under the auspices of Prince Charles of Wales. The museum is themed around textiles. 🏭The textile industry was once the lifeblood of Dundee's urban economy. This factory museum exhibits a steam engine from 1801, various textile machines, and is paired with videos and background audio to give people an immersive experience. The workshop pavilion in particular is amazing. There are three floors, allowing visitors to gradually climb up to the rooftop to overlook the entire workshop. The afternoon sun shines through the high glass windows into this silent workshop.
